Default Is it possible to use Zend_ACL without MVC

Can i use the ACL component to restrict access to portions of my site without using the MVC components?

I will still need Zend_Auth as well.

Thanks.

thanks, are there any examples of how to achieve this without the MVC?

It seems as though all the resources are coming from parts of the url/controller
