Enabling PHP PDO and other extensions on Mac OS X 10.5.x

Hi, is there an easy way to enable the PDO and other related extensions on Mac OS X? I viewed the php.ini file and it only contained references for extensions on the Windows platform. Thus, where are the PHP extensions installed for Mac OS X 10.5?
