Default Gdata

I,m not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I can't use Zend Framework on my shared host. I've installed this framework but when I run a demo script, the warning message says that it can't find Zend.php

You are probably running 1.0RC1 version of Zend Framwork and the demo script was created for a beta or alpha version in which compatibility was broken in 1.0. Zend.php was removed by 0.9.3 or 0.9.2

Default need some help

Thank you very much. But since it is the first time I want to use a zend application, can you please tell me exactly what I should do if I want to install a framework (here Gdata).
I have an account on a shared host (dreamhost) in where I can install my custom php or modify PHP.ini file. I mean if installing a framework needs something to be done with php or php.ini I can do it.
But I need a very simple instruction: Do I need to install zend core before I install any framework?or each framework is a standalone application?
IF I begin to install core or framework, do I need to modify php.ini? or anything else?
I appreciate if you help me step by step. Thanks
