As you may know Microsoft’s new search engine, Bing, had a great start. According to some news, it started to overtake Yahoo. Bing also grabbed market share from Google.
Is it possible? I don’t think so. People’s habit is hard to change and most of us is using Google as the default homepage. I think more creative ideas and some vision is needed to overtake Google. __________________ car loans bad credit car loans Last edited by Yazar; 06-18-2009 at 02:06 PM. |

Remember that MSN (which now has Bing on it) is the default homepage in IE, so I'd wager that most of Bings market share was taken directly from the MSN "Live" (So, no real gain for Microsoft). There will of course be an increase due to the publicity when everyone checks it out. But I agree they'd have to do something more spectacular to displace google for search.

Google search engine has first mover advantage over Bing search engine. And it is really hard to beat a well established brand. I have personally searched for some keywords on both google and Bing. I have found that google output was closer to the results i expected as compare to Bing.

And Google tells you that you might have mistyped something. The only people who need the mistype support are the people who ignore Google's advice because "No, I am looking for 'insane drivel.' 'Inane' ain't no word I've ever heard of." Or who are just too lazy to click the link. I could make a punchline about Bing, stupid people, and IE, but that would be just too easy. |
