I installed NetBeans 6.1 Early Access for PHP along with XDebug and XCache on a WAMP server a couple of days ago. So far I'm pretty impressed. I'm still learning my way around with it, but it seems like a good middle ground between a heavyweight app like Zend Studio for Eclipse and a simple editor like NotePad++.
Has anyone else tried NetBeans for PHP and have any comments? Found any major caveats and quirks? Thanks |

I've downloaded it, but when I tried it, I found out that it doesn't play nice with my 64bit Linux compiz/beryl desktop.
I did try the recommended solution to fix it, but it doesn't appear to work. So instead of fighting with it further, I decided to wait until its a bit more mature and then give it another shot. I am currently using Eclipse/PDT/XDebug/SubClipse. This combination works well for me at the moment, but I am eager to see what NetBeans comes up with. ![]() |
