hey here is a stupid quastion
supposing im using xampp and xampps working folder is htdocs and my app is in htdocs/quickstart why when i type in my browser localhost/quickstart it shows me my folders and i have to click public for the app to start can't i make it start directly from localhost/quickstart??

My guess would be that your .htaccess isn't pointing to your index.php (bootstrap) correctly. The prefered method of setting this up would be to create a vhost for your ZF app. Here's a good tutorial on setting up vhosts and xampp.
