The book Practical Web 2.0 Applications with PHP by Quentin Zervaas is essentially a walk through to developing a blogging site using the Zend Framework. Zend_Controller, Zend_Acl, Zend_Auth and Zend_Config are among the modules you will be introduced to. See the source code and chapter summaries for additional info.

Right. You're talking about the Quick Start. Unfortunately it's so loaded with errors and confusing comments that it's worse than nothing at all. I've even asked to have the page taken down until it can be cleaned up.
